Question Ford 302 engine identification

I have a Ford 302 that I want to rebuild and swap into my 1989 T-bird. I don't know what year or vehicle the engine came out of. The valve covers are missing. The number I found that was stamped in the block near the transmission flange is as follows EZ118834 or E2118834 (I can't tell if the second digit is a Z or a 2. Can anyone tell me when this enigne was made so that I can find the right master rebuild kit for it?

Thanks
Gene

Casting Number

It appears that the number you provided is not the engine casting number. The casting number for Fords (from what i've seen, anyway) is located on the passenger side somewhere behind the starter. For a pic and a bit more info you can go to "http://www.aacncclub.com/FORD_BLOCK_CASTING.html".

Hope it helps!
