2004 pontiac montana loss of power/dies while driving
I own a 2004 Pontiac Montana - it has done a couple of odd things while driving it -
1) while driving at low speed - 5-10 mph - it stalled in an intersection - twice - did restart after a couple of tries 2) while driving down the interstate at 75 mph the dash lights all flashed then it suddenly lost power dropping down to 0 mph on the gauge, then with pressure on the foot pedal the rpm's came back up to 75 mph - this happened three times my pontiac dealer says while it showed up on their computer that it happened they don't know why it happened, therefore, they are not going to do anything to fix the problem. Does anyone have any idea what the cause of this might be? |

When it "dies", do any electrical devices still work? Or do they die as well?

Re: 2004 pontiac montana loss of power/dies while driving
There is apparently a Technical Service Bulletin related to a similar problem with the 2003 models. I read about it in our local paper on the weekend. Fix involves doing an injector flush (among other things) in some specific order.
I'll try and find the article and add it to this reply. |
