Re: rain = no start
I have a 92 that does not like water.... rain, car wash.... What i was going to try is taking a spray bottle and see where it starts missing. Distributor can cause it to run rough when damp, Did trouble start after it was replaced?

Re: rain = no start
Does the car have an engine compartment leak? Just spray the front of the car and the hood with a water hose to see if the engine compartment is leaking really bad. Because the only way the car is going to die from water is if the distributor or the injection is getting wet.

Re: rain = no start
Water can condense in the distributor cap. Slip the cap off and look for water beads inside the cap. You may even find a carbon track (black line) running from the button in the center (coil) to one of the screws that holds the coil in the cap. This grounds out the coil and you won't get fire. Some are just that sensitive to moisture.
Chased a car that if there had been a heavy dew it wouldn't start!
