vtec solenoid wire question

i have a question on my vtec solenoid i just hooked up my vtec yesterday on my b16a2 and before i get to my question i want to kinda try to explain what i am talking about on the vtec solenoid there is one wire coming out that goes to a plastic connector and the plastic connector looks as though it has a spot for an extra wire but that hole is filled up with a plastic plug so lets just say the wire is going into the top hole... then on the other side of the plastic connector is the same thing but the wire is going into the other hole so when it is pluged in they are not aligned ````:[ ]:...... is that how it is suppost to be??? is there a inductive field that fills in or sumthing?? or can i just cut out the plastic connector and run the vtec wire right to the wire coming from the ecu?? thanks for any help i am probably just confusing myself here lol

Re: vtec solenoid wire question

yes that is how they are supposed to look. either try and find the right connector or you COULD just connect the wire. what i have is a small connector that looks kinda like a pin socket where one end crimps on to the wire and the other is a small open square where i connect inside the solenoid plug. hope you know what i'm talking about.
