I just had a O2 sensor replaced in my 96 Grand am se 2.4L, now if I don't let it warm up for at least 5 minutes before I take off, the car starts to stall, when it does stall, I can restart it and it runs fine, just that initial start up that it won't go anywhere. I am clueless to why it would do this, the problem started after the mechanic put the new sensor in it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Took it back to the mechanic and he checked the code with his scan tool. now it is the other sensor, the scanner said it was oxygen sensor #2 this time, with replacing one, would the other one go too?

You might have the mechanic make sure the CAT convertor is not clogged and good to go. A clogged or damaged CAT convertor can give you a power loss not to mention other problems. |
