My Car Hates Belts!!!!

I have a 95 talon ESI, and it does not want to keep the alternator or power streering belt on. My girlfiend drove the car the other day and missed a shift from first to second and threw both the belts. this is likethe third time this has happened. will over-revving the engine do that or is it just my stubborn car?

In my chevelle I kept having the same problem, it turned my motor mounts were shoot, and when I would shift high or floor the car, the belt would come off. It's worth a look but probably not it.
