A police officer in my town was going down the road and hit a parked 3k GT. They said it was facing the wrong way on the street, thus they didnt see it.
Anyway, the 3k was hit in the front. The front is pretty much crunched, and looks like the hit broke the axle or just broke the right front wheel off. Havent really inspected the car and dont know that much about it. As far as if its twin turbo, awd, or what, not even the year. Ive always wanted a 3K. I want to ask the ppl if they would sale it before the mayor makes them get rid of it. So now for the big question. How much would it cost to replace the front fenders, hood, and lets go ahead and say front axle. I have no clue if the frame is bent or any other damage. How much would i be looking at in fixing this car, and also would it even be worth my time?

I had to replace both front axels in my stealth, and i think it cost like 400 dollars for both of them.. with labor. So maybe your looking at 100-150 for the front axel.. the hood, im not to sure of.. maybe you could find the same one for it for maybe 300 is what im thinking.. but then maybe needed painted.. also with the front bumber is gonna be like 300.. also if it needs painted it will be more. If you are looking into investing ne thing into it, you should find out the year, model, and miles.

Re: Need some info please
I'd put in the in the 1-3 thousand range. It will probably be cheaper to go with aftermarket parts on some items. Perhaps a carbon fiber hood or something. If you shop around and do the work yourself, maybe less. But vr4 parts are typically expensive. And that isn't even considering engine or frame damage. I'm just talking front clip, bumper, hood, and axle.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical. |
