Idle Drops Dramatically with AC

Anyone know how to fix the problem where my idle drops with the AC. Mine is a 94 and I could not find the knob on the firewall. It is not near the coil so I assume mine does not have one. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do? I can not get cool at a redlight now. Please help! Thanks...

what does it look like. All I have is a pigtail with a red with blue stripe wire and a yellow wire. I cannot figure out where it is. I have a haynes manual. Pity me. Any help?

It's a black cylinder with a big white plastic knob on it, with big vacuum hoses connected to it. It's bolted to the firewall. If it drops too much, turn on the A/C, and adjust that knob until the idle normalizes. Then switch it on and off a couple times to make sure it stays. Here's a pic of where it is

just saw your pic. Obviously I do not have one. I guess I got something new on the wishlist. You got one you want to sell?

Re: Idle Drops Dramatically with AC

What year is your picture of geozuki? A stupid question here ,if that is the idle speed control I have a large black box? bolted to the side (drivers) of my throttle body in megawaynes picture it would be to the left of the egr and in this picture the air cleaner housing covers where it bolts on. It has a white ,electricaly activated plunger that hits the throttle linkage. Is that the idle control motor? And the sensor is on the firewall as you have circled in your picture?

The picture is from a 92' convertible. The thing on the firewall is not just a sensor, but a solenoid. The thing on the side of your TB is most likely the TPS. I've never seen a metro with an electronic throttle adjust.

Re: Idle Drops Dramatically with AC

The plunger on this thing kept running in and out ,so I pulled it off . If I can find it again ( probably in the back of my truck) I will post a picture. As the plunger worked the idle would go from about 8-900 to 35-4000 . After I took it off the idle got to only having about 2-300 rev jumps
