Buying a '02 Civic

I found a '02 Civic Coupe EX with 37K miles, 5spd , s-roof, custom rims, factory spoiler for $8500.00 Does this sound like a deal? Anything specific I should look for when test driving it?

Re: Buying a '02 Civic

Yea dude totally those are very low miles for a 2-3 year old car. I already have 26k on my 15 month old vic and I am selling it for like 15k..Deffinitly a good deal make sure you get a car fax report on it tho to make sure it was not in any accidents or has has any major problems. Make sure you also get a record of maintnance that has been performed on the car. Is this the first owner of the vic as well?

sounds like a good car. you should look for mods that may have been under the hood but taken off, look for; missing screws, cut and spliced wires, scuffed paint, etc. a modified car is a sign it was most likely beat on daily. look at all the seams on the exterior sheet metal, they should be evenly apart on each panel and comparable on each side of the car and paint surface, they should all be exactly the same. get a www.carfax.com they are 30 dollars and if your very serious about this car 30 is nothing to be able to see when it was serviced, what was serviced, accidents, when oil was changed (sometimes) much, much, more. my '01 came with this and was spotless, they even got the oil changed every 4-7k miles at the dealership, these things defiantly show the previous owners took very good care with their cars. good luck. and by the way, i would rather buy a '00 Si coupe with double the miles for the same price.

If you feel like trying to save the 30 bucks I have seen a few people asking for carfax reports in the off topic section, do a search to find out who has a unlimited subscription to carfax and im sure they will help you out. But if the car checks out thats a pretty good deal, good luck man.
