I need help identifying....

I'm having problems with my guage lighting. All my guages are working fine, fuses are fine. I have a Chilton's book for my 95 sc2 and I don't know what I would find this topic under. And if anyone has any tips on taking the panel off the guages to check the bulbs would be great. Thanks guys.

natasha, we're not ignoring you...we just don't have a clue

look in the chiltons index for instrument panel, guages, light bulbs...who knows what else the jokers that wrote it might have put it under. other than that, I'm not any help...if I'm even that much help. Sorry, and hope ya figure it out.

I tried to take the guage cluster out last night and gave up because it was taking a long time because it's not that simple ha. But then I was playing with the park fuse because that's what controls the guage cluster. I know the fuse wiring isn't bad because the parking lights and lisence plate lights work. What doesn't work along with the guages are the cigarette lighter and ashtray light. So, I'm hoping that it's either the dimmer switch which I'm going to get tomorrow at the junk yard or the wires to hook up the middle dome light. Hopefully it's one of them and I'll tell you if anything works.. Thanks anyways

no, but my dad probaly does. I'll see him on Saturday and I'm going to the junk yard on Friday to pocket all these parts and see what works. Now, if nothing is successful, what do I do with a multimeter?

check the dimmer switch for power, ground, voltage drop, and resistance. depending on what you find, you will know if the dimmer is the problem or if not you should be able to determine if the problem is before or after the switch in the circurt, therefore reducing the possible areas the problem is in haft.

Thanks for your help. Problem's fixed. I got a new dimmer switch and hooked up the dome lights and now all the interior lights work. I don't know which one solved the problem but it's one of those two. Thanks.
