Re: 15+ hp mod chip
It's just another generic ebay ripoff, last time I checked it was just a 10 cent resistor to change your AFM signal. Don't waste your time with it.

Re: 15+ hp mod chip
Well hey.....I just bought one of those stupid chips...so should I try and cancel it? Is there any other small upgrades like that I can do that will actually work?
Also I think im in the wrong topic cuz i used yahoo search and this came up, but the chip o got was for a 95 civic.. Last edited by AnotherCivicOwner; 08-09-2005 at 12:49 AM. |

Great...thanks for moving this here
j/kYes you should cancel your bid, they are garbage. And no, there is no inexpensive way to get hp. Go with basic bolt-ons or save up for something that will give you real power (ie: cams and pistons, or turbo/SC). There is NO way around it, you have to pay to play. |

Sometimes I wish I could punch certain people on ebay in the face who just flat out LIE to people/buyers. You'll probably do more harm than good using their "super duper duper" chips. If they really worked I'd have about 12 to 15 of them stacked on my car's ecu... I should be at around 300-400 HP then....

Re: 15+ hp mod chip
That 'chip' is the absolute biggest waste of money you can possibly spend. It will do more bad, than good for your car.
It basically tricks you Mass Air Flow meter (Or in this case, MAP) into thinking that air is constantly coming in. So the ECU accomidates with that much more fuel. It severely throws off your Air/Fuel Ratio, making you run extremely Rich at low RPM. And extremely Lean at high RPM. So... During daily driving, you're spewing black smoke and loosing power. And high RPM, you're at risk of blowing your motor, and losing power. So what's the point? There isn't one. It's an Ebay scam, I would try and cancel the bid, although I doubt he'll let you... Even if you do get it, don't put it on your car. Just my opinion. -Wes

Complete waste of money and junk. Put it with the other waste of money junk products like the turbonator, etc.
Anyone that tells you anything different is full of crap.
