Re: newb sayin hi

Suspension-wise, most (not all) of the WRX suspension parts will fit on a 2.5RS. That includes aftermarket parts. There are innumerable reputable dealers for WRX parts, so I won't even try to list them here. Google works wonders. For good streetable performance, some springs, an intake, and an exhaust might be your best bets.

Re: newb sayin hi

Dude, you need to do some homework before you start considering buying a car.

WRX- BY DEFINITION, has a turbo.
Also, you can see the top-mounted intercooler under the hood, again, indicating that it has a turbo.

Even without looking under the hood, you can see the air intake for the intercooler, so you can assume that it's got a turbine + intercooler.

If you look just to the left of the intercooler, you can see the heat shield around the turbine.

Summary: dude, YES. It's got a turbo. If in doubt, rev it up and you can hear the spool, and feel the kick. Rock on.

Re: newb sayin hi

Yes, indeed, you should do MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH more research before you buy a car, if you can't tell whether or not a particular car has a turbo or not by those pictures. We all agree here that the WRX is an excellent car (and I also like that color, though it does look naked without the wing), but you should probably do a LOT of research. Read the FAQ here in the Impreza forum, even the parts that don't apply to your car. Then go to NASIOC and read the FAQs there (that will take awhile). Then you will be moderately educated.

Re: newb sayin hi

I agree...it does look rather strange without a wing or a spoiler--Definitely need to get one.

sorry guys, that was a newb mistake. i was seeing all over the internet that this particular year rex make 227 hp and other places i was seeing 170something hp(i thought this was some sort of non turbo wrx). not realizing that the 227 hp was at the crank while the 170 something hp was at the wheels. once again, an honest newb mistake. sorry

AF has a policy whereby you're required to type in a comprehensible manner, you agreed to this when you agreed to the guidelines, I'm not discussing it any further.

Are you sure you didn't read 170kW and mistake it for HP?
The WRX makes more than 170 at the wheels although the 227 is at the flywheel.
In some countries they rate the car in kW as opposed to HP and if I recall correctly, the WRX makes 170 kW or thereabouts.
