Gas Mileage
i was doing some online research on the G6's, why is it that the sedans get slightly better gas mileage then the GT's when they have exactly the same engines, both V6's and running at 200hp? and at a glance they look exactly the same.

My guess is that the GT model has a more aggressive gear ratio? The 17's create a tad more friction too don't they?

Re: Gas Mileage
It is do to the gear ratio. The GT is more agressive and also has the sport-tuned suspension. I thought the same thing when reading the specs

Re: Gas Mileage
I don't have the gt model but have never got over 19 in town. I didn't drive it hard.

Re: Gas Mileage
The GT is geared lower which should reduce mileage but not always as a lugging engine is inefficient. The tires are probably the main culprit, my G6 will do 500 miles on a tank of gas though and will definitely outperform a regular G6 because of the gearing.
