XXX Sub Questions

I was looking at 2 XXX 12's....how much space would each one need if I ported it? Also what would be a good tuning for them? I am looking for sql, I want them to get pretty loud but also sound good. And finally, how much is a 12 after shipping? Any suggestions are appreciated

Incorrect, he is running modded SE's...AKA SExxx's, totally different.

As for price and all that...call RE for direct pricing...they are the only people that will be able to tell you a price and shipping! 702-896-4823

I'd give them 2 cubes NET each @30-32hz with 30 in^2 of port each. So, the box would need to be 4 cubes NET @30-32hz with 60 in^2 of port...it'll sound AMAZING and it'll be loud

Yea 32 hz was what I was thinking but I'm just nervous because I've never heard these subs before and my tuning now is higher so I'm hoping the XXX's won't sound weaker when I get them because I'm used to more spl based subs. One other question is what amp(s) would you guys recommend? I have an Autotek MX3000.1 right now, should I sell it and go for something different or can it push those two 12's?

Specs on the amp: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=13933

The RMS kinda confuses me the way it's listed. Whats the most RMS I can get outta that amp? Can it power 2 12" XXX's?

I'm confused as well...but if that gives you 3000 RMS @2ohms mono that will be PERFECT for two 12 XXX's.

If not what would you recommend? Any certain brands? Any difference between running one big amp or two smaller ones(one per sub obviously)?

P.S. What do you think about the difference in spl from going from the DD tuned at like 40hz to the 2 12's at 32hz, big difference in loudness? Is it worth the money to change setups?

I'd say it's worth the money...much better...higher quality setup. If anything the XXX's will be a tad louder and sound A LOT better

As far as an amp...
I'd look for something 2400rms to 3000rms. Either oneor two amps. And Incriminator Audio 20.1 @.5ohms comes to mind

Can you post a direct link to that amp, I went on Incriminator Audio's site and could only find subs. Also that amp can run at .5ohms safely?

They're sold direct at www.visionaryaudio.com

The amp can take any ohm load you throw at it...LITERALLY...they're rock solid. It'll take .5ohms daily like a champ!

Yea thanks for the link, I actually saw it earlier but couldn't post because the server was running so slow. I take it that that amp isn't available anywhere else yet not even ebay? 7 plus bills seems steep even though I'm sure it's not. So at .5ohms that would put out like 2400-2500 rms right?

Also to anyone else who remembers....I could have sworn that late last year I remember people like fryman and others list prices for all the lines of Adire Audio and Resonant Engineering in numerous threads. I tried finding them by googling it through the forum but came up with nothin....does anyone remember the price of an XXX12?

Nobody can tell you the actual shipped price cept RE. Call them for a direct shipped price... 702-896-4823

Also, the amp is underrated...it'll give around 2400@1ohm and near 3000rms @.5ohms
