Re: What have I found now!!

It is the air cleaner temp sensor, also known as the air intake sensor.

Re: What have I found now!!

well I found it in one of my books and it saids the Intake and coolant sensor values are usually the same and the resistance should be 3,000 ohms @ room temp and that this type of sensor in expensive!! Doesn't say if its a major part for performance! Anyone know?

Re: What have I found now!!

the IAT is a major part of the system that controls your fuel/air mixture. If it isn't functioning correctly, your SES light would be flashing. You can clean it with some brake cleaner ( do not get brake cleaner on the plastic or electronic parts) or a shot of air. ( careful, not too hard).

Major sensor that controls air/fuel ratio.

Richens up the fuel mixture when the air is cold seeing colder air has more oxygen and the fuel has to be riched up to stop detonation.

It wasn't that expensive when I checked the price.

You will have to hook it up to a scanner and monitor live data stream sensor counts.
