Keyless remote programming 2004 Sequoia

I'm unable to get my keyless programmed, I have tried everything that has been posted on this website about programming and nothing. My Sequoia won't go into the programming mode when you go through all the procedures, has anyone else had this problem and if you how did you fix it. Thanks

2004 Sequoia Keyless Remote Programming

I also have a 2004 Sequoia and cannot get it to go into the programming mode. I have the procedure that works for the 2002 and 2003 models, but I can't get it to work on mine. Let me know if you find out how to do it, and if I find out, I'll let you know.

Re: Keyless remote programming 2004 Sequoia

I have also tried to get my vehicle to program the keyless entry and it will go into programming mode but will not program the remotes. Can I please get some instructions from someone that has had some success?

Keyless remote programming 2004 Sequoia

I found this.... but did not work for me yet (FEB-21-2007)

Step 1
To get started, enter de vehicle and close all doors, then lock the doors by using the door lock switch mounted on the driver's door panel.

Step 2
Turn the vehicle's ignition key ON then OFF 7 times...... ending in the OFF position

Step 3
Press and hold the UNLOCK Button on the transmitter until the driver's Door Unlocks.

Step 4
Lock all doors by using the door lock switch mounted on the driver's door panel.

Step 5
Repeat steps 3 and 4 for all tranmitters that you need to program to operate the vehicle ( Max 4 transmitters per vehicle)

Step 6
When all transmitters have been programmed, turn the ignition key ON then OFF to exit the program mode.

note: timing makes perfect

Re: Keyless remote programming 2004 Sequoia

Do you have the CORRECT remote?

I believe the 2004 model uses FCC: HYQ12BBX where the earlier models use HYQ12BAN if you have the FACTORY keyless entry system.
