Cool Finished: Lamborghini Gallardo Tuner

Finally finished after many, many problems and frustrations. As you may recall I didn't get the pearl effect I wanted at first and the car ended up pretty much just TS26 white.....well in the course of putting in the panel line wash I wasn't satisfied with any wash I tried and ended up ruining the paint! So instead of stripping it(which I hate doing) I adopted ZoomZoom's panel wash techinique and went over all the lines with a technical pen then I painted one coat of Tamiya Pearl White, then two more coats of clear. I am pleased with the panel lines now, and I got the pearl color on that I wanted....a negative turned positive!

The kit itself has many issues as has been mentioned in other threads...I had a terrible time getting the chassis to fit correctly. Anyway, onto the features of the build.

As you can see I changed the color scheme of the interior a bit from the stock version, the full alum console and dash binnacle gave it some impact and makes it look more interesting and 'high performance'.

On the exterior I used Fujimi's AVS 5's and added winglets made from a Viper GTS-R diecast wing. The endplates are from the Aoshima GT Wing set and I reshaped them a bit. Was going to put the full Acu Stion etch set on it but they made the screens so small they fall through the hole! So I just used the wheel centers, Lamborghini script and license plate on this one.

Absolutely cool ! The zondastyle winglets, the colour, the AVS's, all makes this car a real jawdropper, now hurry and finish those other projects, you slacker!

Looks great in white and the wheels are perfect for it. The winglets look much better than I thought they would. Nice custom touch...

Hey,

Super, super clean!! What sheen black did you paint the headlights with? I'm not too fond of the little wings, but it is very creative and looks ok. Keep up the great work!

Hey Veyron, you know what? I am truely surrended to your Gallardo. This bull really is a BEAST even it standstill. Is it the wing on the Gallardo S-Concept? The colour of te headlight housing comes out brillant, and the taillight too!!!!!!!!!!!! Definitely a great choice on the Pearl white and the rims. CONGRATS!!!!!!!

This is simply beautiful! Did you design the wing yourself?

Thanks all!

Took the winglet idea from the Pagani Zonda then did my own thing. All I needed was a curved wing which closely matched the curvature of the rear of the body.

As I look at it, the thickness of the enplates is too much....I'm going to take them off and sand them down thinner, that should help that 100%.

Veyron does windows.
Thinning the endplates would be an improvement. The panel lines came out nice. Sharp clean build!
