conversion
Has anyone here ever done an automatic to manual conversion on a 95-99 cavi or know how much it costs? I have thought about it but I need to know about how much it would cost and if anyone knows of any articles that explain how to do it. Thanks.

Re: conversion
It all depends if you know someone or not or if your mechanically inclined. If not.. figure about 1,000 for used quality parts. A deacent tranny is the killer. Then the installed will prolly be half that with a mechanic who knows what he is doing.

haha...i pretty much give the same advice to everyone thats in this subject mostly cuz im in the same process....buy a write off from an insurance agency that has what you need...same year...same engine...etc...and take the tranny and everything you need out like the pedals and wires and flywheel and shit...rip the guts out of the write off and whatever you take out of it...put it exactly the same in your car...then sell whatevers left over of the write off (change the engine too if its got less mil then your current car if you want) and drive your car off with its new manny tranny...pretty easy process...just the time in taking it apart and putting it together thats the hard part.......have fun!!
