how much to replace a AC tube?

the tube from low pressure end to compressor is leaking. because it is close to the motor.for some reasons, it touches the drive belt. so it is broken now.

any one new how much to replace it? it seems a little hard for me to do by myself.

Re: how much to replace a AC tube?

You can purchase just the rubber hose, kinda hard to find but the cost is usually $5-10 dollars a foot. Just cut and peel off the crimps and attach the new hose. You will need to use the special clamps that are made for the AC hose. These are also cheap. A new custom hose can be expensive usually above $100. Your profile does not list your car or engine size so I could not get you an exact price. Good Luck.

Re: how much to replace a AC tube?

I am just wondering if there any kit to repair the hose?

since the pressure in the hose should be similar to the pressure in tires. we can repair flat tires, can we just fix the hose by the same way?

the hose is not totally broken, there is a small hole on that.

thanks
