Talon goes Click-Click and Shuts off Abruptly? Plz help
Just can't seem to figure this out? I've been having this ongoing problem for a good part of more than 3 years and the main reason why I haven't sold it or drive it for the most part. Warm or Cold gas or no gas the car will just shut off, it goes click-click and shuts down. Once it lasted for about 4 months not doing it so I felt the problem had fixed itself but nope it came back. I've had the computer repaired by a reputable shop, fact its still under warranty, I really need help with this, if anyone may know what may be my problem. September last year I took the car over to Dodge to have it diagnosed, they came up dry, nada, funny thing is I had the car towed there because it would not want to stay running, it would run for a little bit then die, I get the car back from Dodge they say the car runs fine hasn't died out yet, they test drove it, let the car idle for awhile, I get it back drove it a few times to work since then with no problems. The other day I decided to degrease the engine bay, while I was in there I noticed why I wasn't getting a temp reading on my gauge for a while now, the wire fell off, I reconnect the wire, soon as I start the car it idles for a bit and abruptly shut down again. Now it can't stop doing it. The car runs well when it's running, but does act up when I get on the throttle and the car is running a little hot, I feel like I'm pulling 1000# behind of me....Plz help I'm desperate

uhh, talon??? there are like 3 different models. is it turbo? you might wanna check the crank position sensor if it is a turbo. if this sensor is all chewed up, you got problems.

Look, axles click, ECU clicks, injectors click when they fire, lifters tick, etc.
Lets not provide a diagnosis until we identify the problem.
