Smog test in CA need info
My 86 Celica GT LB with 2SE engine and 193,000 miles requires a smog check at a California Test Only station.
Need to know what usually causes failures before it gets hooked up, cause if it fails, I'm screwed. Any info on what components, adjustments, or parts to check/replace pre-test would be greatly appreciated. tia for any help, Jay [email protected] |

Re: Smog test in CA need info
the only real adive i hav eis make sure u have 87 not 91 octane in it and drive it around for at least 20 minuts to get ur catalytic converter heated up...ive hear the old 2se have a prolem with keeping their NO down so u might try to goto kragen and get one of those "pass smog guarentteed" bottles cuz there supposed to lower ur NO somehow...Good luck, i myself have to do smog by the 10 of next month or im screwed
