I have a 98 Buick Century. Bought it 16 mos ago with 37K miles, now has just short of 70K . Yesterday I started it up to begin a 100 mile trip, and after a few minutes noticed the air wasnt blowing. The fan was set to the medium setting (I think there are 5 or 6 fan settings). I went thru all the settings, and none worked except the highest setting. My first thought was I blew a fuse, upon checking found two fuses for the fan. Neither were blown. Since I couldnt adjust the fan settings, I spent the drive flipping between a/c and vent. a/c till I got too cold, then vent till I started to sweat..lol.
Has anyone experienced this before? If so, shall I expect a minor inconvenience or a major headache getting it fixed? I live in Florida, so a/c is an absolute must!! |

Re: My fan only blows on the highest setting
You need to go to your GM dealer and get a new resistor module. They have a redesigned one $36 that is not supossed to go bad as often. I went through 4 of the old ones. The new one is holding so far. Good Luck.
