burning oil help....

ok......new thread time, and i need help......well my car started today out of nowhere and it blew a bunch of fucking smoke out (the exhuast and it was like whiteish color...)when i started.....i drove around a lil for about 30 mins....and the oil when down....well hmmmm......i dont think i fryed the piston rings cuz i figure it would blow smoke out gradually instead of all of a sudden u know? could it be that my oil pump whent out? HELP ME ASAP PLZ! this is my car to school and work and back....:'(

Well just get into your engine and check all your gaskets and hoses. Never know could just be a cracked or leaky hose spilling oil into a heat source sending the smoke out your exhaust. Sometimes its the simple over looked stuff that ends up being the solution. Try and look at things objectivly and calmly. Or worst case you blew something out and your fucked but who knows.

Could be your valve seals. i had a LeBaron and if it sat and idle like at a light or just in drive thru it would smoke and it was the valve seals. they do get worn. kind of a hell of a job just to check if its that but i would try other things first. dont really know what but someone could maybe help you. i just wanted to say that about the valve seals

i wouldn't be too quick to say your oil pump cause if it went you wouldn't be going anywhere for 30 mins. Check your filler tube. all the way at the bottom.
