exhaust

Hey I know everyone is probably sick to death of this question but I need some help with my exhaust. I have a 97 v6 stang and i'm getting a new dual exhaust. I wanted to know which muffler sounds louder the flowmaster 40 series 1 chamber or 2 chamber muffler and will I get any problems passing emmisions with a 1 chamber muffler? Is an X or H pipe better fit or a v6 stang. thnks

Re: exhaust

if you are keeping your cats you sould have no problem passing emmisions. As far as the x pipe H pipe. if you have other mods you plan on doing that will effect that choice.

Re: exhaust

The 1 chamber is most deffinately louder. But I can almost garantee your 6cyl to loose seat of the pants bottom end power with 1 chambers. I have them on my truck and love them but its a 302/5spd.

note: if you do go with 1 chambers get 3 1/2 " tips, you will need them to make the tone deeper, otherwise they drone and crackle.
