Parts interchange
PLEASE HELP!! I am trying to find out if the drive axle and CV boots from an 86 Escort LX will interchange with an 89 Escort GT.

not sure but i do know that GT parts only are interchangable between other GTs at least this applies to second gen. scorts. good luck, if i hear anything i will correspond.

I'm taking a guess here but I doubt it; I have an FSM for the '94 models, was just looking at the axle stuff the other day and it is different for the GT vs LX models

It might.
1st gens 81-90 are all ford. While 91-96 are half Mazda and Ford, so things are different.

Go to autozone.com or partsamerica.com and look up the parts for both vehicles, and if the part numbers shown are the same then they will interchange.
