91 civic won't start

I have a 91 1.6 and i just replaced the fuel pump and filter(both new).
I drove the car for about 2 hours after replacing them and it shut
down on me.when I try to start the car, it turns but it won't start.
What could the problem be? Any help would be great. Thanks.

can you hear the pump kick on when you put the key to the on position? did you put the new sock on? are you out of gas? lol

yeah new pump might mean new Empty level. so if your tank was anywhere below half tank then fill it up and then see if it will start.

also do you hear the fuel pump prime?
