Steps to remove the inside panel off the sliding door of ford windstar

I can't seem to get the slidign door panel off my windstar.
There has been an annoying rattling in there for some time now and I'm fed up.

However, when I try to get the panel off, there doesn't seem to be any way to remove it with out breaking something. Also the handle is in the way.

Can someone give me a step by step walk thru of how to get this panel off without breaking anything.

Thanks.

And YES before you recommend it, I did a search of this forum for the answer and didn't find anything overly helpful.

Re: Steps to remove the inside panel off the sliding door of ford windstar

I shouldn't write anything as I removed mine ('99 SEL) so long ago I'll probably just mislead you ...

But I remember a small trim panel around the door handle comes off first ( one screw?). The door handle remands in place. I believe the latch knob has to be unscrewed. Then there are at least two screws on the bottom of the panel ... you'll have to put the door ajar to see the one that's on the lower rear area. Then it lifts upward/inward... several clips around edge.
