trouble getting at one spark plug

97 4.0 sc v6
the plug closest to the firewall on the passenger side. anyone know of an easy way to get at that?

Go in thru the wheel well with the wheel turned all the way to the left.

yea take off the wheel and go through the wheel..

oh yea a lil secret take off the splash gaurd and you will gain even more room making the job even easier.

I found that on my son's 91 Explorer, using a flat racheting wrench with a spark plug socket works very well also. Gives you enough room to do it since you don't have room for a conventional rachet.

spark plug

Go through the wheel well. Jack the right from up to give yourself more room, you might even want to take the wheel off. Then take the splash guard (flexible plastic stuff between the engine and the wheel) off by pulling at the 'buttons' that hold it on.
That's the trick
