proper preping
im gettin ready to do new body work on my civic....in reguards to painting.....do i need to prime before i lay a base coat?.....im not going to have any bare metel....just sanding it down to the factory base coat...someone please tell me...im really confused...

Yes it would be best to lay down some primer to adhere the paint better. Its cheap in a can and will not take long.
