tune up interval caravan 99 2.4L

when should the spark plugs and/or the wires be replaced?
It looks like it is quite difficult to get the plugs out. Can anyone share the experience with me please?

thanks!

should be in the owners manual for plug interval replacement . If they are regular plugs usually 30-40000 miles , if they are platinum then i would say 80000 miles, though some say you can go 100000 miles with platinum I wouldn't and my dealer says 60-70000 miles is smarter .

The wires are generally good for 3 years. They should be replaced when the insulation around them shows signs of cracks and age.

Spark plugs are your car's zip and zing not to mention a heavy part of any emmissions controls. If you are a novice, be warned: Use an anti seize compound on the threads of the plugs when you install them. Those super long life plugs may be good for 4-5 years, but without the anti seize compound, the plug will weld itself into the threads after a few years. The next time you remove the plugs, the threads of your aluminum head engine will rip out.
