my brand new 2002 firebird

Hey sup i need some advice on my new firebird. its a automatic and im having trouble burning out in it. i know the break technique and gas this but when i do that my RPM's get really high and nothign happens. what should i do i also have traction control that i turn off when i try to burn out. gimme some advice

If it's a V6 you probably won't be able to do a burnout with the stock troque converter.
Only stalls up to like 2000rpm right?
Not enough low end toruq to spin em.

I made a post about V6 mods a few months ago.
Try searching this section and you'll find a HUGE long list of what it takes for an Auto V6 Bird to run 12s.

Yea its only a V6 it kinda sucks... i saw all those things u pisted on the V6 burnout one. thats kinda alot of stuff to do.. hmm is there anything else i can do to have some fun in my new car???

I just purchased one in January this year and got a chance to drive a '00 T/A WS6 for one week and a half. I am disappointed I purchased the base model after driving the WS6.

I'm thinking about trading it in for a WS6 this Summer after I can get some $$ saved unless I can find a way to upgrade to the power of a WS6.

go to www.firebirdv6.com and go to the message board. one of the moderators there is 12secondV6... his V6 bird runs 12.8 talk to him
