Re: 3s-gte?

You are going to need a lot more than just the 3SGTE to do a swap (tranny, axles, ECU, engine harness, gauge cluster. etc ..)

I would talk to Dave at www.paautoracing.com.
Tell him I sent you. He specializes in swaps.

I have a complete 3sgte swap for sale, it has 78,000 miles on it and it is in excellent condition, it comes with engine, lsd trans, complete harness(uncut), ecu, mounts, everything. It is very clean, PM me if you want to see some pics. make an offer on it.

Re: 3s-gte?

just a quick clarification. are you swapping from an N/A or are you after a replacement 3s-gte cause yours died? if its replacement you shouldn't need the rest of the stuff.

naw its a 5sfe to a 3sgte and i have all the components to swap but i just need a a good 3sgte engine with not alot of miles. iam trying to find a US motor but they are rare and even though the japan ones are easy to get they are harder to maintain especially b/c i live in L.A..

Re: 3s-gte?

I thought the jdm spec motor was mostly the same as the us one ?? dosnt it just have a respeced computer and maby a diffrent oil filter size ?? I could be wrong but.. might wanna look in to that. also if it is just oilfilter, some companys make oilfilter adaptors that you can fit on a jdm motor and fit a us filter to

Re: 3s-gte?

one of the main resons people prefer the usdm engine, is it has all the emissions, and egr, while the jdm engine does not. Im not sure but the jdm cars are right hand drive, which means you will also have to lengthen the harness, due to the electronics on the right side(jdm) as oppose to the left side(usdm). im not positive about this, but might want to think about that. the swap i am selling is usdm, and has all the requirements to pass emissions testing.
