Re: high beam dont go on

By "clicker" do you mean the dimmer switch at the base of the steering column?

Do your low beams go out when you select High?

Thats correct i replaced the clicker at the base of the column, also checked all fuses that i could see o read about in the basic manuals i have.I also replace the lights itself. Yes my low beams go out when i select my high beams.. I also noticed my back-up lights dont work again have checked fuses and bulbs. What should i try next.

Re: high beam dont go on

Just had a simular problem with my 96 Cherokee.
turns out the wiring harness for the headlights was corroded (salt/sand/winter things)...removed the harness and hard wired the wires....all is working now. Only difference with mine, the rest of my lights worked fine....just the highbeam wouldnt go on and the low beams would go out when i flipped the hi/lo "stick"....the housing is located un the air filer housing on mine......might want to check out your connections make sure there clean...etc....hope this helps............Jerry
