i would like to make my 1986 camaro louder but keep that original nice purr the engine makes. Does any 1 know of a good exaust that will make it louder but keep the sound original. thanks

In that case you have several choices.
The most basic mod is a catback exhaust system, which is from your catalytic converter back over the axle, through a muffler and out the back of the car. Companies include, Flowmaster, Borla, Magnaflow, Dynaflo, Corsa, GMMGinc. and others. Pretty much all of them are going to make it louder, just in different ways. What i suggest is going to the webpages of the different companies, hooking your computer up to a good sound system (think home theater not JBL speakers) and play the sound files they provide. This should give you a pretty good idea of what the differences are and which one you like more.
