Red face Canadian Made Monte SS - AC HELP??????

I have a Canadian made 2000 Monte Carlo SS and went to hook my air conditioning recharge kit up and the only port I saw was driver side under hood near front *BUT* the fitting on the line is BIGGER in diameter then the connector on the end of my recharge kit. Does anyone know if this is the wrong (high pressure) line or did the tricky Canadians use a different size recharge port on their AC units????

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Scott

I believe the fitting you're looking for is near the air filter assembly, just behind and almost under it.
