Re: Damn oil cap!
I think I remember someone saying that they ended up using 2 gaskets under the oil cap to keep it from leaking. Might want to do a search on that.

Re: Re: Damn oil cap!
Yes, two gaskets should work, sometimes its just a bad fit, not all oil caps are perfect. Just pull one off of another cap and throw it on, see if that works. If not, Duct tape! not really, j/k

Re: Damn oil cap!
I find the gasket on the cap hardens from all the heat, i'm on my third cap. I just went to the junkyard one day and took 6 caps of different dsm's.

Re: Damn oil cap!
Tightening the screw only works if its leaking because the screw is loose. I bought a new cap, AND bought a second gasket. Havent looked back in the last 4 years. Bought the 91 daily driver with the fancy polsihed cap, and it goes on way too easy. Oil all over the engine bay. Swapped in the trusty old cap off the 2g, no more oil loss. Goes on nice and hard too. You really have to put some ass into it. I think an extra gasket is only about a dollar. They were so cheap chad bought a bunch and just gave me one.
