Littering Ticket! Cops ARE retarded.

I just got out of a littering ticket a few hours ago. As in didn't get it but was close... I was sitting at a stop light, threw a few handfulls of "litter" out the window. and a cop flips the lights behind me, approaches, and "considered" giving me a littering ticket.

The litter? Peanut shells. My MR2 has no cupholders, so i was cracking peanuts from a bag I'd bought last night and putting the shells in my lap. At the light, I dumped them on the ground in handfulls. Peanut shells. That grow in the dirt. That ducks DONT get their legs stuck in. That DONT clog streams and that DONT take a god-awful amount of years to decompose. Do your real fucking job, asshole.

You SHOULD have gotten out of that one; peanut shells biodegradable (etcetcetc). Glad a reasonable cop pulled you over instead of a total dick.

its hard to mistake a mcdonalds box with a peanut shell. Anyways, I've heard thats still considered littering, because you arent supposed to just throw shit in the street. Even if its biodegradeable. But still, you didnt get a ticket, so the cop must not be that retarded.

Getting involved with ANY law breaking is their job. Granted it would be nice if they knew about the real crimes, you can't get too mad for them doing their jobs. Unless they're a total unrelentless douschebag cop.

Geesh. The cops around here are like that. They busted me for going over a SINGLE line of a double yellow. I was in a dually truck avoiding getting my fender gettin takin off by some lady in a Lexus SUV.

Yeah, actaully, littering of food is more about streets. If you throw it in like a field (anywhere that's not someone's yard or a building's...tard) then it's ok)

rofl, I NEVER do, I was just really hungry and it was all I had on hand. And I was going home to clean out the interior right afterwards anyways! But one way or another... they're damned peanuts. Nobody gets pissed at people who do it in baseball stadiums and the subsequent parking lots and streets around... I'd bet the farm nobody's ever gotten in trouble tossing a handfull of peanut shells out the window immedietly after they left a baseball game. What in the name of god could a handfull of peanut shells possibly hurt under any set of circumstances? You can't slip on peanut shells, your tires can't slip under peanut shells, not in those amounts... It can't possibly harm the environment since it's part of it, it's not going to clog up a stream or river, no ducks are going to get their feet caught in them, birds aren't going to choke on them, they break down very easily, especially under tire... I can't really see any possible problem a handfull of peanut shells could cause?

My friend got a ticket from a cop in an unmarked car for hitting a bump...the cop thought since his truck went up and down over the intersection that he had jumped it. He followed my friend and when he didn't stop for a Dodge Stratus, the cop tried to get him for fleeing.

It was all thrown out in court and the cop was repromanded....what a retard!!

Theres three types of cops, nice ones, bored ones, just plain jackass tyrant wana be cops. You got pulled over probably by a bored one, so I wouldnt be really complaining. He was nice to let you go and didnt give you the ticket. Atleast you dont get the ass hole ones that think just because they got a badge that means there total ass holes and are the ones that probably avoid saving peoples lifes. Yes I seem like a ass right now but I just got talked to by a cop for skateboarding at a abandoned gas station. I would see no problem if he said "Hey, cant have you here skateboarding cause the owners might be afraid of damage to you or the property" but it was more like "Move out of here and stop being little worthless peices of trash, get a job cause I know others wont be as nice as me ( bs) and will take your little tony hawk skateboards"
Your just lucky you didnt get that asshole cop cause if your mad about that then you would probably have more then one ticket. Just my 2 cents and something to think about.

I see your point though - peanut shells are bio-degradable so they won't hurt the environment or anything, but it's best to throw them in the grass or such. I can't stand anything in the streets - street sweeping day is the best day of the year

Anyways, other than peanut shells, don't litter. It's dirty and says (to me at least) "I can't be bothered to hold it until I get to the next garbage can." Ugh...I hate dirty cities.

Well, I wasn't an asshole about it. I was tired, it was early, bad day, I was just like "huh...?"

My first ticket was form an asshole cop. I "mouthed off" to him and he ripped my ticket up and gave me another with a higher fine.
