88 rx7 anniversary, new turbo manifold, or new turbo kit?

my turbo manifold is shot on my rx, and im not sure if i want to buy a 550 dollar stock manifold, or a $3200 greddy complete upgrade, then spend another 1000 at least on fuel and computer upgrades. if i go stock, i will be able to put a bodykit on it, and get it painted. along with a few other performance parts. any suggestions. i am happy with the stock turbo power, so.............

well if you have the money, then go all out man ... there's always a place in this world for a bad ass rx7.

but if you're happy with the power of the stock setup, then just replace what's broke (exhaust systems DO rust out, especially in the salt belt) and then you're set...

just my $.02

Re: 88 rx7 anniversary, new turbo manifold, or new turbo kit?

if you go to http://www.nopistons.com in the single turbo section theres a guy selling T04 manifolds for the FC (and FD as well). If you plan to upgrade to a T04 variant try that.

get a jobber manifoil, a T3/T4 turbo, and a haltech rather than a body kit.

haltech are 800$ used, and as far as i know, you dont need an intercooler if you dont want to run big boost number, and you can also find a cheap volvo unit in scrapyard that wont cost u much than 50$. ignition is sold with the haltech wirering, you might need to buy some coils. so you spend 550$ to stay stock, or in the 1400$ range and u get close to 300 whp
