'98 civic ex project

Here are some pictures of my 1998 Civic EX Sedan. I just recently purchased this car, for about 4 grand less than blue book, and began working on it. It is a 5spd manual, 90000 miles, but has body damage (as you can see in the pictures) and has a few minor interior problems. I was excited because it is only 7 years old and only cost me $2000, and my dad and I do all of the bodywork/painting ourselves. Give me some feedback as to what I should do next, but I'm kinda on a tight budget since I'm in college. What color do you guys think would look good? And, does anyone have a website or junkyard name where I can find some cheap body panels? Any feedback is appreciated, thanks!

Oh, and btw, I purchased a 600-watt amp and 2-12" subs to put in also, which should make for a decent sound system... not top of the line, but they should do the trick!

Re: '98 civic ex project

For $2K you got a hell of a deal. How many miles are on the car?

Obviously needs a little body work, but hell if you can do all the work it was worth every penny.

Re: '98 civic ex project

the car has 93000 miles... I, too was amazed at the deal, and definitely do-it-yourself bodywork is better than having a shop do it.

that's not bad at all. Good luck with the bodywork.

congrats on your car. that price is a steal. i have a 98 LX myself. i got it in 2000 for $6800 which was great at the time (5yrs ago) and in great condition. i have since put atleast 7-8 grand in the car (full body kit, rims, top of the line system,3 suspensions, custom leather interior with seat massagers and heat, angel eyes w/ hid's).. i'm working on swapping the engine, lambo doors, and finally a paintjob. I would suggest white diamond (the pearl color of the escalades). thats the color i'm painting my car when i do it. good luck with everything. i'll get pics up to show you soon.
