I have not much sympathy for fairweather soldiers.I have even less for civilians who point and call names.
Those who claim to support the war in Iraq should sign up or shut up.

You can't just "quit" the military. As stated in another thread, it's a great deal - unless you're called on to fight a war. You can't tell me that this volunteer, as an adult, joined the military thinking he'd never have to fight? He deserves whatever punishment fits the crime.

He should be shipped back the the US and if found guilty of desertion, spend his five years in prison. Then he can go to the Canadian consulate and apply for citizenship if he wants to live in Canada. He's just another person who doesn't want to accept the consequences of his actions.

For a long time it gave me nightmares... witnessing an injustice like that... it's a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be... I can still hear them taunting him....... silly rabbit, tricks are for kids... I mean, WHY COULDN'T THEY JUST GIVE HIM SOME CEREAL? Quote:
