Ok, if wasting your spring break by working and doing a formal business report that counts 45% of your grade doesnt suck..then i dont know what does.
Anyway, to the point of this thread. I have to compose a formal business report or proposal. Well i have decided on a topic. My topic is "Analysis on the 2002 Honda Civic for New Company Car." So pretty much i have to do a mock proposal on why a company shoud make its company car the new civic. I need solid info on the car, company history, outlook, ethics, ambitions, finacial standpoint, etc. All things that will affect a major company buying into another company. Please list any websites, books, magazines, etc. that you can imagine or think of that can help me. This crap is 45% of my grade...It needs to be good. Please HELP! -James

Well, I guess I'll give my two cents... Obviously, point out Honda's history of reilable cars and excellent gas mileage. I'd probably talk a bit about back when the CVCC's came out and they were gettin' like 40mpg or more. Also talk about how Honda recently got rated the cleanest car company in the world and how that'll help make the company look enviromentally friendly. I guess u probably know all this crap too, its just diggin' up the info that'll be hard. Good luck.

You might also want to throw in something about honda being an innovator in the industry. They were the first company to produce a car with and engine that has more more than 100 HP per liter. There's lots of interesting tidbits about honda out there, I just can't remember where I read them all
Also, you might want to throw in a comparison of repair (ease and price) on a 4 cylinder motor vs. a 6 or 8 cylinder motor. I just found this out first hand. My bro's chevy Tahoe just blew an intake gasket, and they have to tear down half the block just to get to it. The part is like 5 bucks, but labor is going to push the repair cost to up around 400 big ones. If you had a little bit of time and about 19 bucks for a haynes manual, a honda owner could do this repair themselves with minimal tools and a little intuative mechanical knowledge.

everything you had mentioned it should be on the internet much fast and less time comsuming then your local library. Plus you can talk about 100hp/liter but what happens if i do not know anything about horsepower then you have to explain what horsepower means then the paper become long and confusing. Intro is last have about four or five points about your report. Within your points(paragragh) have about three to five sentences. Talk about the history of honda then started with motor cycles then good milage cars and it really help during the 70s because the oil crunch. Where american cars were breaking down and avg 15 miles to gall/ compare to cvcc close to 35 miles. Tell them how honda has won so many award for their car. and so on so on so on. You do not ever have to leave your room.
but u get the idealbasically talk about realibility, gas, and maintence. |
