my old friend was a audiophile and his chevy s10 had some extreme bass..well it rattled and sounded shitty, til he put on a nice layer of dynamat on the inside..no vibration just nice boom. I'm sure it would work just as well for your hatch as it did for his truck so i say go for it.

Re: is DYNAMAT any good?

i was thinking of doing dynamat (well not necessarily 'dynamat'.. i was thinking brown bread or fat mat or something) under my door panels and in my hatch cuz im gonna be getting my sub in soon.

i think i may just skip it and see how bad it rattles. i think my sub will pound so hard that i wont be able to hear much. my car rattles like crazy with just upgraded speakers...

Hey all I have an 1988 CRX Si I bought a Dynamat trunk kit $60.00 well worth it, installed it about 2 1/2 years ago. applied it over the entire bottom of the car in the back, 60% percent of the walls & some of the rear part were the storage bins are.

Im running 2 punch power dvc's about 1000rms 2 each sub, the only rattle I get is a little from my license plate.

So to sum it up it is worth it.
I still have to do the doors & the roof & the firewall.

After that It should be as quite as a church & should be able to hear a mouse fart!

i agree 1000 percent.. noise dissapeared after i put some dynamax around my trunk. the only thing is that its heavy..adds up weight to your car.

Re: is DYNAMAT any good?

I've been told by two dealers around here that they wont sell dynamat because when the weather changes alot of the time it fall off. So basically if you put it on during summer it falls on in the winter vice versa

Re: is DYNAMAT any good?

My father used Dynamat in his S15 when he was big into car audio. He swears by it. I'm kinda not sure if I'm going to keep my car yet, but I just got a sound system in it and may dynamat the entire thing. (Thinking about a hatchie, if I go that route I'll do everything to the hatchie and sell the sedan)
