Owned a ricer

A friend of mine has been talken about a friend of his with an "11 sec Del Sol" lets call that friend friend "A" i would allways just call BS and leave it at that.

Well i was walking down the hall omw to math class with a huge motor head friend of mine, lets call him friend B. I see friend A on my way to math and stop to talk to him a sec. He mentions something about the del sol guy saying it would "own the sh!t out of my neon" i just laugh and say i bet it would. Friend A then spots the Del Sol guy and calls him over. Here is where my fun begins.

Me: (to friend A) watch this.
DS: You the guy with that blue neon
Me: Yeap
DS: Dood my Del Sol can walk all over you
Me: Ohh reall?
DS: yeah, it runs 11's on the quarter
Me: Ohh wow, what track did you run at.
DS: i can't remeber the name
Me: Ok, what have you done to your car.

He then procedes to spew out a list of complete BS mods also claiming 30 psi on a T3/T4 turbo, with stock internals.

Me: ohh wow, and its daily driven?
DS: yeah
Me: Street tires for those times right?
DS: yeah
Me: Rear mounted Mopar Intercooler?
DS: Yeah
Me: 1 or 2?
DS: 2
Me: You also have duel carberators right?
DS: Yeah from greddy
Me: ohh cool, what size injecters do you have?
DS: I can't remeber the exact size
Me: You obvisioly have an engine swap what you swap in there?
DS: JDM DOHC V-tec
Me: ohh the D16z (SOHC V-tec)
DS: Yeah
Me: Man i would really love to run your car you wanna put money on it?
DS: I would just be taking your money
Me: well i would really like to see an 11 sec honda in action, i really like hondas.
Me: my neon isn't even close to 11's
DS: How much you willing to loose?
Me: how bout we run for like 5 or 10 bux

A girl comes up to us to see whats going on and the Del Sol guy decided to act all hard.

DS: how bout 100
Me: Ok

The bell rings and we part our separate ways and head to class. Friend B just bursts out laughing.

Friend B: Omg that shit was hillarious
Me: lol i think i just made 100 bux

I know this guy is BSing too i have seen his car around. He has 15 inch rims and a rather large fart can on his del sol. No intercooler, or gauges anywhere inside his car. He also has all of his interior and a heavy ass box with big ass speakers in the back. I am going to be running him this Saturday. I'm gunna try to butter him up a lil and convice him Srt-4's are slow. Hopefully i will get to race him this Saturday.

Re: Owned a ricer

If anything, the BS about having dual carbs AND fuel injectors should've tipped off anyone that knows anything about cars.

That was the ultimate test to find out if he was BS'sing most people who have almost no knowledge about cars know the diff between carborators(sp?) and fuel injection. Also the classic "i forgot the name" thing. That allways spells BS. When was the last time you forgot the name of an important mod on your car?

Re: Owned a ricer

Maybe you could tell this ricer about a guy you know that has a Camaro Z28 that wants to run for money, and maybe you could tell him that since it's a domestic and doesn't have VTEC or a turbo that his Del Sol will just annihilate the Camaro. I will gladly make the drive from Mesa to Ahwatukee to make a quick $100.

Re: Owned a ricer

I once convinced a guy driving a riced out eclipse that my car was a V6. And that I just had all the GT logos and stuff put on. And my exhaust was special exhaust that just made it sound like a V8. Even though when I revved it up you could plainly hear a V8 motor, not just exhaust. So you either owned an idiot, or are about to get seriously owned.

Re: Owned a ricer

WTF are you guys talking about he's totally legit! Anyone who doesn't know about the JDM DOHC D16Z6 is a complete idiot. One of the rarest motors ever produced. A few Del Sols received them, but the majority of them were placed into the 5th Gen Civics. If I recall, about 1000 of them were produced. The 92-95 Civic SIR3. One of the rarest cars in the world, not to mention RWD . Also produces 220 HP and puts the Type R's to shame. Gawd, if only I could get my hands on one of those bad boys. I'll try and dig up some pics. I've only seen them on a few websites just browsing around. Now where to find them....

BTW, I'm oh so totally joking. But I wouldn't be surprised if a noob actually believed this . L8...
