Alright i've had some problems with some poeple about my age. Some people say that people should eb at laest 18 to post and no younger. What do you think about this age thing. Tell me about what you think about the whole 18 and under should not post but I think it is Bullshit about some people saying that and it makes me mad so what do you think. I don't care that im 13 I will post unless they ban me cause of some trouble that i might cause but I will continue to post about stuff even though im young..........

Re: Should young people be allowed?

I thought he got banned too. Yogs did it I thought since he said he was 13 or something.

EDIT: to the post below

The thing about that is, some people buy cars early and since they have their permit they drive with someone else but can still work on their car. I know some friends that did it.

Re: Should young people be allowed?

I say you should be 16, because that's the age that you can buy a car.

Re: Should young people be allowed?

Hes 14, and the age to post is 13. The mod who banned him must have been confused, so I guess they reinstated his membership?

Are you kidding? Thats just the American legal age for someone to drive. You can buy a car anytime you want. As long as they enjoy cars, and they're 13 or older, I say let them talk about cars.

Re: Should young people be allowed?

I could care less how old you have to be to post in this site; if you have respect for the other members and not act like an idiot. If you are not smart enough to catch on that some things, and comments, are not acceptable then you should not be able to post on AF. Regardless of how young or old you are.

I couldn't agree more. I started reading car mags when I was ten. We didn't have any internet way back then! So I say kids should be allowed. But not if they put up posts like some of Skylines. Show some respect or get banned. He also needs to pay better attention in his English class but that's another subject.

, but I'm saying 16 since that's the legal driving age in most areas.

I was lucky enough to not have to deal with this when I first joined, I believe I was 14, or just turned 15. I remember Igor was only 15 at the time!

Anyways, if you take the time to dig up some old posts, you'll ready some less than interesting, or even purposeful posts. I've learned a lot since then and it shows. Looking back on it though, I don't know how keen I'd be on having people any younger than 15 or 16 posting based on the fact that most of them just aren't mature enough at that point to interact with people twice or three times their age.

When you're basically an anonymous person on a message board, it's way to easy for things like respect to get through out the window, and on this board, respect is key to making yourself heard and respected in turn. At a young age it's difficult to grasp this and I while it's led to no major problems so far, I'd just feel better knowing that the people I interacted with were a certain age.

Again though, just my

Re: Should young people be allowed?

^I gotta agree. 13 seems way too young but it is the standard on the internet. I don't have a clue why though? Just 'cause it is the strt of your teen years doesn't mean ur mature enough to do anything (besides porn) on the internet. That especially goes for here. Come on, most 13 yr olds aren't even in high school!

Although this site would have given something to do while in Italy, commentary would be a lot less interesting and a lot more pointless.

To go off of Porsche, I think every newbie on AF seems to have pointless posts initial only because, it's new. When they are really sure about something, maybe, but it's a human thing to be unsure of yourself somewhere. To build a credible reputation and all is just instinct.

But yeah, 13 yr olds, no. I'm thinkin' 15 at least. Not sayin' all are mature enough, but that's what the mods are for, so...yeah.

My
