help
i have a 96 ford windstar and
my inside lights stay on when my van is off i know it has something to do with my side door we tryed wd 40 does not work anyone know what i can do i also tryed pulling the fuse but then my windows in the front do not open. |

If it has contacts on the door and the frame of van, look at the contacts to be sure they are clean. If they are OK, remove door panel and check the switch on latch.

Sliding door contacts can be the problem but often it's the 2 switches
inside the tailgate on the latches. To see an excellent repair procedure , scroll down to page 3 of the threads ans see a thread written by jtman04401 titled : "door light & charms wont go off FIX!!" |

fixed
we cut the 2 black wires in back of the contacts in the dor fram
and grounded them wala no more problems |
