Question Is my AC on?

OK, this is a wierd one. When I got home today I noticed water dripping from under my TJ. I crawled underneath and discovered the water was coming from my AC drain hose, where the water drains when your AC is on. So while I was under there I reached over and felt the condensor and it was cold. I climbed back inside the cab to see if I accidently turned my AC on, I hadn't.
Ive never seen this before. Could my AC be running all the time even though it is turned off, or is this another Jeep thing?
My check engine light came on last week and stayed on for a day. I checked the owners manual and it said that it usually comes on if Im getting poor fuel economy for one reason or another. Well if my AC is running all the time I can understand why I'd be getting bad fuel economy.
Anyone have any idea why my AC is draining, and the condensor cold when my AC isnt on ?

I believe that the a/c will run if you have your defrost on even though the a/c light doesn't indicate the system is running. It will affect your fuel mileage a little bit. As for the check engine light, I doubt it would have anything to do with the a/c. Go to Autozone and they'll pull the ses codes for free. Screw the dealership
