Killed a Legend

It was late, and I was about to head home after a long day. Then my friend gets a phone call, it's his friend with an Acura Legend. He has been talking down my car and 5.0s in general for sometime now. Saying he will 'smoke one' in his car. Iv been wanting to race this guy for a long time, and now I was finally going to get the chance. We meet up with him at a gas station where we discussed the 'rules'. We started from about a 40 roll, he honked it down, we went. I started in 2nd, and shifted right around 5grand. I was already a car length in front of him at the end of 2nd. When I hit 4grand in 3rd, I was 2-3 car lengths ahead, and I was already going 90 on Sand Lake (the road Universal Studios is on, if anyones ever been there) which is a moderately crowded road. I shift into 4th, not needing to go faster. I stay 1 car length in front at all times, not letting him pass. When we hit 100+mph I motion for him to cut it but he just keeps pushing it. I finally just slam on my breaks and flash my highs to let him know its over. He calls me and says 'FOLLOW ME' and I was like '....', cause I thought he wanted to go again. Hes going thruogh all these crazy backroads and whatnot until we finally pull into a neighborhood. I get out and ask him what he was doing. He told me he saw lights following us and it looked like a Crown Vic. After we discussed what was a possible near miss with the law, he admitted that I beat him and then we went somewhere and got a bite to eat. All in all an exciting night that ended with a fun kill.

Re: Killed a Legend

Good highway cars, not a ton more than that. Heh, My best friend had one for a few months. 91... He blew his clutch, just like he does on all of his fucking cars, and then put a rod through the block. Then sold it to a junkyard for $50. woohoo.

Re: Killed a Legend

looking at the title.. I was thinking you killed a street racing legend... not sure who that'd be.. but before I clicked the link I was wondering who was a legend???

Sadly, I was dissapointed... it was only a Acura Legend.

Anybody ever see one of those Legends at night or from far away during the day...and think it's a R34 Skyline? The front ends look remotely similar... I think Nissan stole the front end design for the R34 GT-R and tweaked it to make it look better....

...

Me either... just wondering.

i agree with you 100% redneck. the legends proportions look very similar to that of a GT-R. however i've seen a mag that tried to put a R33 front end and tail lights on it, and then the car just looked wierd. i'd rather imagine it looks kinda like a skyline GT-R rather then trying to make it look like a GT-R.
