|
need help with blurring
ok i know how to blur and all. what im trying to do is blur a pic of my car to seem like its in motion. but when i got blur it blurs the whole pic. i dont want that, what i want is to blur the backround and the rims... what do i do? thanks in advance

the easiest way to explain it, is select the parts that you DONT want blurred, then copy and paste them. Then go back to the original layer and blur it and there you have it.

select the rims area and then go to smudge. smudge that in a circle.
select the background area and go to filter-> blur-> motion blur and choose the speed! done!!!! chris

ok im still having a problem... sorry im new to this. ok. i can blur but the whole thing blurs, you guys say to select what i dont want to blur but if i use the select tool (magic wand thingy) it doesnt select the whole car. and if i use a different tool it works by rectangles and i cant get the whole car to not blur. hellllllpppppppp

There is a tool that looks like a lasso in ps.
Use it to draw around the parts of the photo you want to select. To add to the selection Hold down shift and draw some more. To take away from the selection hold down option and draw around the part of the selection you want to nix. Hope this helps. |
