83 150 acts like its outta gas
83 6-300 dual tanks carbureted. runs ok til you go uphill, or try for any speed, but only on the front tank. rear tank is fine. is there a pump in the tank on the 83's? i dont know if they used them on carbureted engines. any help would be great!

Re: 83 150 acts like its outta gas
never had dual tanks but heard a lot of complaints from friends. Pretty sure it is a mechanical pump. I would start with the fuel selector valve. Try swaping the lines for the tanks. If the problem is now in the other tank it is the valve. If not look for a restiction in the lines for that tank and the in the tank itself.
