Nitrous on a 2.2L?

Im wondering..i know the normal stuff like engine wear blah blah but the efi kit that is suppose to require no timing retard and operates on a stock fuel pump sounds nice..but what im really asking how bad is it on a stock tranny? I know this question has been asked before. Im not talking about wear but if you have everything set right would it blow with everything stock but the nitrous?

Re: Nitrous on a 2.2L?

the auto tranny is cavaliers is pretty damn strong. I believe one guy on jbody.org had over 400WHP through a stock one. Id me more worried about running lean and blowing the engine. Trust me, when it comes the Nitrous, the tranny should be the least of your worries.

Re: Nitrous on a 2.2L?

Nitrous is like playing with matches in a dry forest. If you know what your doing things will be fine, but one little mistake and the whole forest is gone. The manual tranmissions arent as good in stock form for making lots of power. The clutch is the first thing to worry about. If u upgrade the cluth you should be fine trans wise.
